Awesome video about the project, but good grief, that's the whitest group of 70+ people involved in an American city I've seen since the Louise Day Hicks era.........

I'm not one of those professional race quota/bean counter-types, but holy hell, NAIOP has a bit of work to do there. That's not a good look for Boston. Down here in Maryland I'm always defending Boston, "Hey, it's getting better, going in the right direction" but people outside the Hub see a video like this and I can guarantee the reaction the rest of the country has when seeing it.

Because of where this building is located, it's going to look massive. The Fed is prominent currently because of relevance but SST dwarfs that building. While taking the Encore Boats from Commonwealth Pier, this will extend the skyline for the duration of that ride now that the other end in West End is where it is. It's pretty cool.

I dunno that a height differential of merely 66 feet qualifies the finished SST as something that "dwarfs" the Federal Reserve Bldg (by that logic, both MT and Winthrop already *do* "dwarf" the Fed -- both taller than SST -- and that's not the visual impression at all IMHO), but it'll certainly have serious impact on the skyline.

I think you're missing my dumb point. Due to its location from the directions I named, and against the render shown, it absolutely looks like it dwarfs. And 'dwarf' is a subjective term in which I've deemed appropriate in this instance due to the lack of significant height variance almost anywhere.

The problem with the Fed is that the 614' is to barely perceptible sticks, and the top of the "H" is only about 585'. On the other hand, 1 Financial is closer to 598'-599'. SST will still look a good 7 floors taller than either of them, right on par with MT and almost Winthrop.
