I could not find the old thread, but this project is back from the dead with a new and bigger proposal this time (from 8 to 12 stories; no more step down at the back)

City site: https://www.cambridgema.gov/CDD/Projects/Housing/2072massave
Developer Site: https://www.aptsat2072massave.com/home

Key points: 100% affordable (Affordable Housing Overlay) 12 story *mass timber*(!!) structure. 73 apartments, 71% 2-3 bedroom.

If you live in Cambridge you should send in a comment in support of this project. The opposition is very vocal and flooded the most recent public meeting on it. There's not a ton they can do in terms of stopping it I think given that this is going through the AHO, but any supportive comments/feedback certainly don't hurt and can hopefully speed things along.

Where's the best place to submit comments? I live near the project and am very much in support!

I'm also a local resident and wrote in expressing my support yesterday. It wasn't easy to find on the city's website (and I'm not sure it was even the right place), but I ended up finding this page:

I like the old render better, and think 8 stories fits better than 12 with the scale of Mass Ave here. 🤷‍♂️ Also, move or shrink the lobby and add a corner store. Not just retail but specifically a convenience store/bodega. Used to be a lot more of those in this area.

I know renderings are supposed to be illustrative - but - photo rendering #5 is peak architects trying to sell things by making weird renderings. two men casually running diagonally across the street with a woman walking a bike also in the street.

I believe you can also leave feedback for the project team on the project's website here:
