Anyone know why the Green Line entrance still isn't open? Is it waiting for the full Hynes renovation at this point?

The (foundering? failed?) Peebles development of Parcel 13 relocated the underpass connection to the Samuels site and the main fare gate entrance to be south of 360 Newbury Street (closing the existing entrance to the old Transportation Building and Hynes/ICA). I've heard whispers that the Parcel 12 underpass mitigation/linkage won't/can't open until Peebles redevelops the Parcel 13 connection at 360. Not sure I buy it, but it's what I've heard.

It can’t open until Hynes is made accessible. It triggers ADA upgrades.

No there's no physical connection. The Boylston entrance to Hynes station is just at the far end of the platform. You can often walk right up there from the inside. The Mass Ave underpass is from the fare control lobby at the Newbury entrance. They're still doing construction on it.

Is there any reason they can’t open the Boylston Street entrance? It’s not like the situation at Arlington where it’s the problem that that entrance is not accessible since the whole station is not accessible at Hynes.
