The neighbors, or at least, the vocal ones, have not all been on-board. All I remember is people whining that if a supermarket went in anywhere near the neighborhood, all the local grocery stores would be out of business.

Re: New Tower(s) Planned For Prudential Center Just in time for Christmas! They were taking away the fences from in front of the Saks Fifth Avenue on Ring Road, earlier today. The road is now open (as of 6:00 PM, 16 December). Economy saved!

I was just being cynical. I have to say, all things considered, I'm impressed with the success of the convention center, and I can still see potential in the entire Seaport area.

Why in the world would my tax money go to pay for this?
