Kept looking at this building from my outside dinner spot last weekend, wasn't sure if it was lighted or if those gold bars were a different material catching the sunlight. It's subtle but I like it.

I'm really liking this building (buildings). I work in the area an have been watching it go up for the last couple of months.

It also looks like, in the render, the top of the building had screens (to cover the mechanicals?) which were replaced with fake windows. The windows now continue to the top of the building. Also, the back section of the building projected out on the right side in the render, it's now recessed...

It's also nearly identical to the photo used for the original rendering (posted early on in this thread). I wanted to take a similar pic but KZ beat me to it. I walk by this building all the time and have been up and down about it.

I wish it were ALL residential. It would be nice if it was something that provided a connection between the Lower Allston neighborhood and the park across Soldiers Field Road. Of course it would need better pedestrian access across the road, of which there is almost none at the moment. And as...

Note that I was responding to criticism of the screen. I agree that underneath it's a pretty pedestrian buillding. Late last night I drove down Windon Street toward the building and was suprised at how large it looks from that approach. It looks massive, almost like a large industrial plant...

I have not checked out the back of the building yet, but did want to comment that when the screen was first going up I really disliked it. Since then it has really grown on me and does look much better in person. It takes on different qualities depending on the light and can be quite beautiful...

The Deli is nearing completion, the ice cream shop is just a pop-up thing to utilize the space. I'm not sure why that bay has not been rented yet, I think Harvard is involved and is being choosey in who/what they bring in. I wish there was another cafe in the area but with Harvard being involved...

I haven't been down there in a while but there is large garage under the building and the last time I looked it was mostly empty. You can currently park there for 8.00 a day, which is inexpensive. There's also parking around the building at Harvard managed meters which are free for the first...

This is an exciting development for the neighborhood. I currently go to the TJs in Coolidge Corner or the one in Cambridge. Now I'll be able to take the elevator down to do my grocery shopping (I live in the Continuum). Hopefully this will bring in other businesses, we could use another café...
