Regional Rail (RUR) & North-South Rail Link (NSRL)

I've been out of the loop on this for a while. The current proposal is about changes to the existing system to make it operate better - is there anyone discussing expansions to the commuter rail/regional rail system? Or is the hope that electrification/more trains/better headways get at most of...

Regional Rail (RUR) & North-South Rail Link (NSRL)

Re: North-South Rail Link Central/Union Station has always been the sticking point for me on NSRL. I just don't see the need for it given the density of transit in the area already. I don't know what % of the cost estimate it accounts for, but even if it's only modest, I still say nix that part...

Re: Site in Hub top choice for a soccer stadium There is nothing easy about getting to Foxborough for the Revs. The MBTA doesn't run the commuter rail trains like they do for the Patriots, so you have to drive. Easy would be a stadium that's near a rapid transit station.

Re: Site in Hub top choice for a soccer stadium Also, getting season tickets now means you won't be competing with a much larger crowd when the time comes for season 1 in the brand new stadium.

    Imagine Boston 2030

I've always wondered how much people who are actually involved in planning as their profession at the local, regional, and state level are aware of/participate in this forum.

Design a Better Boston Food Truck Park

The biggest problem with the Boston food truck system is that Clover is the only food truck allowed on the common at the Brewer Fountain.

City Hall Discussion - Redevelopment - Preservation - Relocation

Is that glass structure a subway station entrance? If so, anywhere we can copy and paste it for Government Center?

10000000% agreed. I know he has said it's not up ti him, and technically it might not be, but he is the only pol in this state that can really make this thing move one way or the other.

    Boston 2024

If Boston were to not get the nod, how long do you think it would be before the another group started to try and get the Olympics to come to town - 10 years? 20?

    Boston 2024

Can we start a "Crazy Olympics Pitches" thread? There is precisely zero chance of the stadium going anywhere else. Do I think it should? Of course, but that's not happening. #MidtownOrBust

^This idea would have worked if they had Harvard on board from the get go, but that ship sailed when they submitted a bid without Harvard's sign-off.
