I worked on this project when I was an intern at Davis Sq Architects (Formerly Mostue & Associates) while in school way back in 2006. That's how long this development has taken to be built.

I never thought I'd see the day that something was built on this site.

I am glad myself. I go to the BSC and it's run down and not super clean. It will be good to have another option.

Is that giant blank white wall the final facade material?

I'd like to see a view of what it looks like inside looking out through those fins.

I'm glad that it's being built, but it's really...boring. I wish they would have had some varying mullion sizes at select areas or different glazing patterns. Its just all one spacing and size all the way up the facade.

The real Millennium Tower

I found a typical plan, it's a fairly large core.

Perhaps it is the perspective, but that tower floor plate seems so small compared to the core.

As long as it is sealed at the perimeter the argon will still perform, whether horizontal or vertical. The issue I can see is the transition where it changes from horizontal to vertical. I'm not sure how that butt joint would be addressed, but I would guess that it would just be a high strength...

I'm very interested in how this will ultimately be detailed out. What material is separating the two window systems? How can this be flashed without looking sloppy? I get why they need the new windows for the program, but this is very odd to me. I'm a bit surprised it was approved by the...

It seems like it will be similar to the raised "boardwalk" that currently exists on the opposite side of the park. It's actually a really nice space where I sometimes go sit at lunch in the warmer months. It's always packed so the added seating will be used.
