Gillette Property Redevelopment | South Boston

It's Coppersmith, two warehouse buildings attached to it, and triangle parking lot behind it. Million dollar condos recently completed directly across the st. Sad that Coppersmith is likely to go.. meh food at best, but a really cool environment that's great for kids (before 7pm). They put a...

    Amazon HQ2 RFP

Why not South Station Tower? Directly on train lines and 3.5 hours to NYC. Expansion space could be the USPS site (air rights over track expansion) and/or Fort Point lots across the channel.

    Amazon HQ2 RFP

Agree with everything here. The more I think about this though, the more I'm thinking Raleigh or Denver wins in the end. I think they both make an aggressive bid that Boston doesn't "have" to match. I also don't think Amazon needs an HQ in Boston. They already have a lot invested in the area in...

    Amazon HQ2 RFP

Re: The New Office Thread I'd expect Boston to be a top 3 finalist based on criteria and the fact that we're the "east coast" equivalent of Seattle. As someone mentioned earlier - Seattle has access to China and Boston to Europe. One of many reasons why Boston HAS to be a top contender. If...

    Artists for Humanity | 100 W. 2nd | South Boston

Flat roof aside, latest render is more interesting to me and seems to be a better fit with the existing building. The new developments in this area are kinda funky, in a good way -- shaping up to have a unique character for sure. Also noticed that the groundbreaking ceremony already happened...

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Hopefully diversity among retailers beginning with Seaport Square will help. Active shopping centers bring in the street vendors, performers and livelihood that everyone is looking for here. The pedestrian focused "harbor way" or whatever the hell its called actually looks pretty damn awesome...

    The New Retail Thread

Sound Bites is great. Don't forget Mul's diner on west Broadway, Galley Diner and L St. Diner in Southie's East Side, and of course, McKenna's Cafe in Savin Hill. Not sure if these are 6am spots, but must be close. The problem is that they're all being pushed out. My Diner first, and I'm sure...

Probably right. I'm leaning towards Thomson Place now as wel.

    The New Retail Thread

Could very well be Thomson Place, but Brewbound article makes me think Coppersmith. Already have the outside patio and roof deck, and is exactly 15,000 SF per their press release before 2014 opening. Here's hoping.. I always thought that building would be better suited for a brewery!

Fort Point Infill and Small Developments

I wouldn't call it a chain just yet. I believe this is only the 4th location. One in DC and two in Philly. Great after work spots. Casual but higher end than you might expect. Walked by today and it looks very close to compete. Pretty sure their prepping the patio area as well.

West 1st, specifically by Dorchester St, is getting a handful of new commercial as well. And 11 Dorchester will soon be home to a new restaurant called Publico Street Bistro.
