975 Boylston | Mass DOT Parcel 13 | Boylston & Mass Ave | Back Bay

I genuinely liked the previous proposal, but I realize that was mostly due to how the building looked from above. That doesn't really matter for most of the ways in which people will experience the building. This is pretty good, and we desperately need something to happen here. Build it!

I'm just happy it's going to be 5-600ish units instead of the lab + 125. Would have been nice if it was taller, but still hope it happens

To be fair, Peebles does have something of a credibility problem as far as executing goes.

That said, hopefully the fact that they spent probably serious money getting RAMSA involved in a new design means that they're putting some more serious effort into moving this forward - either way, it's movement where we hadn't seen any in 2.5 years, but given that it's renders only without accompanying filings? I have to admit it's TBD.

Don Peebles's fawning wikipedia article was written by user "Kpryles550." I wonder if there any people at the Peebles Corporation with such an interesting name...

It's been five damn years since Peebles first submitted his plan, and it's been one delay after another. This is just another stall, another delay! The city needs to find another developer for this parcel!

To be fair, managing the company's digital presence pretty standard practice for a Communications/PR person. It's also precisely why nobody should trust any Wikipedia article to be unbiased (or even completely accurate).

He won the RFP in 2015, ten years ago.

Yeah, that's a bad Wikipedia page. Let's see what I can do ..

Others don't like it either. From the "Talk" section, complaining about an insider writing the page:

Donald Albury's attempts to present false, misleading, or innacurrate information without sources; likely as a PR representative of Roy Donahue Peebles, Jr. Also added an accuracy dispute about unilateral, inaccurate changes by admin "Donald Albury, who removed content related to business transactions, bankruptcies, and even removed the "Jr." From Roy Donahue Peebles, Jr.'so name, suggesting he is a PR agent.
