Pawtucket-Central Falls MBTA Commuter Rail Station | Pine and Barton Streets | Pawtucket

I do not have either site plan. The increase in units may however simply be tied to smaller sf units. I myself was surprised by the new design having so many studio apartments. According to the recent article the 190 units will be made up of 99 studios, 79 one-bedroom units, and 12 two-bedroom units.

Wow, that is absolutely horrible. Went from a dense transit oriented development with a vernacular style that blended in to the surroundings… to a sea of parking lots with a little housing sprinkled in the middle that looks like anywhere usa.

The new Pawtucket Transit Center passenger facility will feature public restrooms, driver restrooms and break room, a waiting area with seating and real-time passenger information screens, and a Pawtucket Police sub-station and security office. RIPTA will also have a staffed customer service window to assist riders as needed. This new building will improve the passenger experience for both bus and rail passengers.
The expected open date is late 2025/early 2026.
