Based on their website, it appears that they're accepting reservations starting April 16th, for $450 a night... for reference, that's approximately double the Citizen M at Lyriq. And based on their room photos, they're clearly saying suite in the TownePlace or Homewood Suites sense.

The sign says open, but the Bates Motel looks more inviting. I couldn’t see a single human through the windows.

They managed to paint over the graffiti that was there for several years, but didn't clean up the entrance a bit for the grand opening... interesting..

I cannot quite put my finger on it, but for some reason this project screams "money laundering scheme".
