Porter Square Infill and Small Developments

It’s an elaborate performance art piece, or a tax dodge. Look closely and all the TVs in the last photo are showing the same thing.

The weed-filled planters on the patio are just the icing on the cake.
Decades ago, my dad went to the old appliance store in Perkins Square looking for a part only to be politely informed that the store was a front. Same vibes here.

(Although I don't think the TVs are necessarily a sign of that - most hotel chains now have a "Welcome Guest" slideshow running when you check in, so I'd assume it's actually some variant of that).
 
I saw a living, breathing, human being in one of the rooms. The lobby, however, was completely lifeless.

It might have been the ghost of Christmas future…
