1600 Crown Colony Drive

“Atlantic Development is planning to knock down a vacant office building at 1600 Crown Colony Drive in Quincy and build five 55-plus condominium buildings.

The City of Quincy has partnered with Quincy Public Schools, the Quincy Police Department, and BusPatrol to deploy school bus stop-arm camera technology across the local school bus fleet. The program focuses on preventing illegal school bus passings, a serious and ongoing safety risk for students as they board and exit buses at stops throughout the community.

The program will begin with a 30-day warning period starting June 1, 2026 to educate drivers and raise awareness of Massachusetts school bus stop laws. During this period, motorists who illegally pass a stopped school bus will receive warning notices by mail with no financial penalty. Full enforcement is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2026 following the conclusion of the warning period.
