North End | Downtown Small Infill Projects

Seems like most of the architecture they’ve put up in the north end in the last 10 years is fucking terrible

I was at an event once where the Mayor was speaking and some clown took the last question to ask her if she specifically opposed the 2 Charlesgate West tower because we all know shadows are a harm to human health and the environment, and that on those grounds she must oppose the project.

Never forget that shame is dead and people will lie about things, even in public. Not at all a surprise that a building barely in the North End, clearly improving the streetscape is going to be opposed by the old timers.

The fact that side setbacks are technically required in this neighborhood is hilarious... we are cooked!
The building next door to the right has a property line window on the side, which would trigger a setback for fire hazard. They must be proposing blocking the window (which should not be there on the property line anyway, per code).

The new North End Community center & Mirabella Pools have been under construction for a while - groundbreaking was last year - but to date I hadn't seen renders of what it was going to look like, so I thought I'd drop them here.
