    Traffic Disaster Looming in BOSTON

Being from around he NY metro area this stuff never ceases to crack me up. The traffic last month when that garbage truck caught in fire in the tunnel is what I'm used to every day. I also have little sympathy; I just like traffic on Seaport Blvd doesn't need to exist because of access at B St...

Reposting this, because the Payless building could be preserved in situ with minimal impact to the proposal, and none to the tower.

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

The seaport has one of the fastest escape routes in the city, and yet drivers choose to sit in traffic on Seaport Blvd. B Street puts you on exit 25 of the Westbound Pike, which gives you the option of 93 north or south. It's even signed as such with massive signs. The traffic disaster down...

How Tall Are Boston's Buildings and Should They Be Taller?

I think he's saying we're reading this: Wheras we used to have discussions like this: Edit: And yes, odurandina, I'm singling you out because it's an easy way to prove a point. But it's not just you, many of our newer (and some older...) members have this height/density fetish that...

    Old bridge Boston

^ I agree... I imagine if the Magazine, St Mary's, and Dartmouth Street bridges were built, the quite real barrier of "crossing the river" wouldn't be as extant.

    Old bridge Boston

The bridge at St Marys St was built as a temporary crossing when the deficient, wooden, 1850s Brookline Bridge (shown in the picture) was replaced with the current Cottage Farm (now B.U.) Bridge. Cambridge Chronicle: June 23, 1923 What is interesting was there was considerable debate opposing...

Yeah, it's supposed to open at the same time as partners. As to whether it's going to have retail pavilions in the park is up in the air, might be a second phase. So far Mikes Pastry is all that's confirmed to be going into Partners.

Cranes for the residential tower are getting assembled. Garage is almost done. First floor of the low rise section is almost done. Across the street, the hotel's foundation is about to be poured. In the distance, Partners is wrapping up.

Meadow Glen Mall Redevelopment | Medford

They aren't building anything new though... just tearing out the partition walls of a basically abandoned indoor mall and replacing it with a supermarket. If they were building this new I'd understand the flack, but jeez people.
