    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

Nice, congrats. I like the green reconfig map a lot. I’d say a key idea that isnt mentioned as key ideas on that is the line to Harvard sq which would significantly alleviate downtown pressures; also, that the D-E connector + GL to Harvard Sq means there are light rail partial crosstown routes...

    MBTA Buses & Infrastructure

A couple other things I think might be important related to this, that have changed: - the climate toward BRT and bus lanes has shifted, at least somewhat. - the original proposals for the Silver Line were put forth in a bullshit way, by 1) offering the SL as if it was “just as good” as more...

Are there any meetings coming up for this thing? I’d go to support it. I just filled out a form on the BPDA development page supporting it, everyone here should do that (if you live nearby at least).

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

I hear ya. Thanks for clarifying. I was reading more about this history of this place and they had some pretty awesome concerts in the 70s, including Gil Scott-Heron. Would be a pretty amazing venue for live music (as a suburbanite from Rozzie ;)

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

I think it’s pretty simple. If you’re talking about doing something for a company or a public private partnership, that leads to any nuisance for the surrounding neighborhood, people should have a much greater say in that decision than they should in something that truly improves the common...

at first I thought this was the one under construction. Didn’t realize there was another proposal—it would fit in very well with the one going up now. Hope it passes; the square would do better if density increased on its margins in my opinion.

    Biking in Boston

Agree… I wish they’d try to make a real linear park the entire length, by consolidating the greenspace rather than having thin strips of single rows of trees. We all know vulnerable to salt damage those tend to be, and they don’t amount to useable greenspace, either. That second bike lane ROW...

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

But, might not be reasonable to people who live there. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be alarmed at the prospect of dozens of buses clogging Walnut Ave.

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

It's a pretty major addition. Hopefully will look nice from afar, and hopefully will be nice at the street level, but just the act of filling in this space ought to be hugely influential to this area.

Nice. Ive always wanted to check out Aroostook County but have been intimidated by the drive. I might actually avail myself of this service one day.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Yeah, agree. If it had a crown it would be a much more significant contribution... At least it will cover over the track at SS, but otherwise this doesnt add much.

Back Bay Garage Tower | Dartmouth and Stuart | Back Bay

Yeah, for a squat duker esp next to the Hancock, it would be better to just be the blob it is, and not draw attention with silly nonsense to pretend at architecture. Im with you, @DZH22, hopefully this wont ruin the nice views you get of the JH when youre in Copley.

Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

Wow. Hadn't seen it from this vantage yet. Definitely dominates, but extends the high spine and will be a nice reminder that as we head south now on Mass Ave, we will be heading toward an urban area instead of a gaping hole and view of a highway.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Somehow I just cant get excited about this building, which is funny, because I think it was getting giddy over the prospect of a big tower over South Station that was one of the googling episodes that led me to archboston in the first place many years ago. Maybe it's just that it's not going to...
