Thought I would post a few photos from a couple of weeks ago in New Bedford.

I am always bewildered that Federal Reserve is the third tallest in Boston. It doesnt seem like it, especially when viewed from the distance. One Financial and International Place start at the same ground elevation and they look taller to me.

I heard some rumblings from those in the restaurant indistry that the National Club was bought by the developer of the new hotel. When the Rt 18 project is finished they are planning on restoring the building and turning it into a steakhouse. Not sure how reliable this info is though.

That would be ideal. I grew up in Fairhaven near Ft. Phoenix and have used the bikepath often for running and biking. I can't wait for it to be expanded.

Yes, but just barely. You can see the Blue Hills and only the tops of the Hancock and Pru. It is so distant they look like "bumps" on the horizon but with binoculars it is more clear. Thanks for the other locations! I always find this interesting.

I am pretty sure of that. In fact before buying a house I looked at an apartment there about 2004 and it was 1200/mo for a 2 bedroom.

Actually, the Regency was constructed as luxury apartments in the 80's. It had a gourmet deli and fitness club on the ground level, as well as covered garage parking. The top floor was offices and function space. The middle contained the residences. Over the years it didnt keep current and...

The Airport Grille seems to be busy 7 days a week, it became popular very quickly. I have only been to the "new one" 2 times but I work nearby and see the crowds in the parking lot and inside the terminal.

A nice 18-22 story office building would fit in that are nicely! Just the right scale...

The hotel wasnt demolished. It was remodeled into senior housing. I am sure the ballroom space was split up into apartments.

Growing up in Fairhaven I have crossed that bridge MANY times! it was cool to see the top of the old New Bedford Hotel. My Dad told me there use to be a ballroom and rooftop garden up there. From the video it looked like it was very ornate on the top. Wish they could restore it back to that...
