Ron, the park is called Mary Soo Hoo park, directly behind the vent building on Hudson Street. It's a children's playground put in place long before the Greenway and is now infested with rats.

Bingo. Couple that with conventional proposals and an highway agency running the show and you have the the best watered down 'park' in the world.

But the solution seems to be to build up the surrounding areas with the right kind of development in order to (planning 101) increase density and create a 24 hour neighborhood. Then we'll see the activation you all have been clamoring for. The North End parks seem to see the level of activity...

So the real problem is what's around the Greenway and not so much the Greenway itself?

Brookline has installed a set of black metal boxes for various publications at certain locations - Coolidge Corner, Washington Square, etc. Sadly they are not being used. Boston could do this, but then you eliminate the visual chaos of the urban environment that makes it interesting.
