NEMA Boston | 399 Congress St. | Seaport

This is definitely a background building. I find the giant wave screen in their turn around super weird.

EXP | 795 Columbus Avenue | Northeastern University

Totally agree. this one was really tough to make happen (remember when it was two bridges? I think that got nixed by the rail people) but so worth it.

Jamaica Plain Infill and Small Developments

This is good to see. That building is so important to the streetscape and community it's been painful watching it deterorate

Kenmore Square North (WHOOP) | 533-541 Commonwealth Ave | Fenway

This is Marty Walsh's legacy in Boston--high building signs. Ugh

Amazon Office Tower I | 111 Harbor Way (Seaport Square Parcel L4) | Seaport

Late to this thread, but I think this is a great point. One of the weird things about this area is that the various big developers have branded their areas rather than working toward a more unified district wide read.

BU Data Sciences Center | 665 Commonwealth Avenue | BU Central

Interesting. I wonder when they top out? I'm also fascinated to see how/when the temporary support structure comes down. It's a pretty interesting construction

    Allston-Brighton Infill and Small Developments

It's a City of Boston Landmark so I would bet that the colors are based on historic evidence of what it was or good documents on what it would have been--which is not necessarily what we have all been familiar with recently.

    Allston-Brighton Infill and Small Developments

Or just demolition by neglect. They seem to have done a really great job on the rehab.

    Logan Airport Capital Projects

Being in the US can be so tiresome with how far behind we are on things like contactless payments.

    Logan Airport Capital Projects

As someone who flew into Terminal E last week, that entry into the city experience is so awful. It would be nice if they put a little attention into the passport control and luggage pick up.

Bay Village Apartment Tower | 212 Stuart St. | Bay Village

I really like the simplicity of the idea--curved panels and glass panels--with the then complex relationship of the sizes and locations. It's a really elegant building and I'm looking forward to seeing it finished.

Middlesex County Courthouse Redevelopment | 40 Thorndike St | East Cambridge

It reminds me of the One PO Square project. Taking a building from the recent past that feels dated and making it look vaguely current. So just postponing the datedness for a few decades

    30 Leo | 30 Birmingham Parkway | Brighton

The Jamaica Plain Whole Foods is one example of this style in Boston. They did a pretty good job of keeping the interesting parts intact when they did the conversion.

The Parker Boston (nee LaGrange Tower) | 47-55 LaGrange St. | Downtown

This is looking solid. But, I find buildings with faceted curves a bit depressing. Curved glass isn't affordable in most places but facets just don't read well.

Commonwealth Pier Revitalization (née Seaport WTC)| 200 Seaport Boulevard | Seaport

It was reskinned in the 1980s/90s but, as others have commented, the structure is the original. The historic plans are super interesting--trains going out the pier right through the front of the building. I, of course, can't find them right now. Part of what is so interesting about the current...

Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

Yeah, the previous project was much shorter (177 vs 300 roughly if you include penthouse, which we should!)

    Allston LabWorks | 250, 280 and 305 Western Avenue | Allston

I think this is one of the most interesting lab buildings we've seen recently. Usually my personal preference is for simple design but this has done a pretty successful job of breaking down the visual mass of a large building.

Canopy by Hilton (née Haymarket Hotel) | Blackstone St | Parcel 9 | Greenway

Totally agree about the confusion of design/quality in general. All stick built over podium buildings are not the same. For my two cents, brick is appropriate here. Panelized brick is the less expensive way to do that, all of which is fine in the current expensive Boston construction world. My...

City Hall Plaza Revamp | Government Center

But that is owned by the feds, not the city.

Whittier Choice Neighborhood | 1158 Tremont Street | Roxbury

Fire Dept wants 20' clear. So even if they have 10' travel lanes plus some parking you are at the 35'-40' width
