    archBoston Presidential Poll 2012

First problem, you are quoting former Enron Advisor Krugman. Second problem, the 'savings' from ending both wars have already been counted and spent. Third problem, compound interest on accrued debt. "low borrowing costs" is a bloody joke when the Fed is artificially borrowing fiat money at...

    archBoston Presidential Poll 2012

Liberal/Progressive doesn't mean what it meant at the turn of the 20th century. The language, like many other things, was usurped by ideologies which are anything but Liberal or Progressive. It is much more difficult to honestly debate ideas when the language and labels are obfuscated. The...

datadyne007, I hate to state something personal like this, but you have to be insane to think Obama is a paragon of fiscal restraint. That chart is a heaping pile of bullshit and I cannot fathom how anyone could produce it with intending to deliberately be dishonest. I suggest you review the...

    Boston's housing problem

Developers are incentivized to keep housing supply low at the behest of the city government. Inflated property values with a lower population is a win win for the city coffers. City Hall knows full well it can collect a lot of cash and pay out very little in services if market conditions continue.

    archBoston Presidential Poll 2012

What is happening now is a result of government cronyism crafting legislation to allow big businesses to squash competition. Pushing for greater statism and the eventual nationalization of industries would only be empowering the corrupt caste even further. The government was empowered to dictate...

More shitting on Americans from totalitarian dreamers trying to sway the havenots with promises of confiscated wealth. They want everyone to be equal, regardless of ability or work ethic, only certain special others -the enlightened ruling class- would be more equal than others. In the end the...

The problem with that Henry is accessibility at the last quarter mile to desired locations. What's the point of biking if it has the same limitations are public transit in the final short stretch?
