Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Haha, thanks Pelhamhall. Rest assured that I am indeed going to be a freshman in college in exactly one week. It helps that my dad is in the business. He only does stuff in the suburbs, but he and I can have a lot of discussions and he has taught me a lot about architecture, planning, approvals...

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Has anybody seen this rendering? I believe that this is the first residential building to be built, next to the Barking Crab. I believe that it is the one that Kemeny was hired to work on. I kinda like this design. It could be better, but I don't think that it's horrible either. In this...

Avalon Exeter | 77 Exeter Street | Back Bay

Re: New Tower(s) Planned For Prudential Center Yes, these are two separate projects. Boston Properties is involved with both. 888 Boylston will be the final 'piece' of the Prudential Center, and this Avalon building is being built over on Exeter Street by both BP and AvalonBay Communities.

Columbus Center: RIP | Back Bay

Re: Columbus Center I don't see why Ned's windows are such a big deal to some. I know that he opposes this development, one that many of the forum members (myself included) are anxious to see get going. However, I believe that he does indeed want to see this part of the Pike decked, but, since...

Avalon Exeter | 77 Exeter Street | Back Bay

Re: New Tower(s) Planned For Prudential Center People are simply paranoid about 'ruining the historical fabric' of the Back Bay. I completely understand and respect that position, but I find it humorous how little these residents actually want built. If the city remains stagnant, it will die...

Fenway Center (One Kenmore) | Turnpike Parcel 7, Beacon Street | Fenway

Re: One Kenmore (Mass Turnpike PARCEL 7) I am surprised not to find Ned posting here as well. After all, it seems like his main harping point is the UFPs, and, unless I am mistaken, wouldn't this project create the same problem as the Columbus Center? It certainly puts into question his motives...

Columbus Center: RIP | Back Bay

Re: Columbus Center I don't consider that to be 'plenty of options.' Saying that the developer must create a 2-acre continuous park if Parcel 16 is above 150 ft. is very restricting and limits the potential of the proposals. Rather, having one or two smaller, more intimate parks is far more...

Columbus Center: RIP | Back Bay

Re: Columbus Center I have sat back and observed this forum (and sparring match between Ned and the other forum members) for some time now, and I now have finally felt like I know enough to hold my own in a conversation (I am still far behind the other more experienced members to be sure, but I...
