    Rose Kennedy Greenway

Yeah, i like the idea of maybe some canvas or something hanging between the slats. Could look very nice with either plain canvas or some cool multi-colored/sail-esque kinda design.

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Boston needs something like what Sydney did with the "Small Bars Bill" http://www.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/development/application-guide/when-a-da-is-required/small-bars

    Biking in Boston

I'd argue that the transformation of Boston from worst city in the country for bikes to one of the better cities was a relatively quick transition. Not overnight by any means, but when you consider where we were in 2006 and where we are now/poised to be in another year or two, that's pretty fast.

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Nix the 20' median, make some amazing 10' wide cycle tracks, and you'd still have 10' left over that you could throw onto the narrower sidewalk. Or keep the median but narrow the insanely wide sidewalk, give that width to the median and try to emulate the Comm Ave Mall. Otherwise that strip...

    North Station-South Station Rail Link

So there is a provision in the transportation bond bill currently being considered by the legislature that would rename South Station the Michael Dukakis Transportation Center at South Station, but the Duke has said he only wants them to do that if they build NSRL. I wish to some day be in a...

I'm blown away that travel agencies are anything more than rooms filled with computers for people to access Kayak.

    Gov't Center Station Rebuild

Re: Gov't Center Rebuild I know the closing is less than ideal, but I hate when outfits like Dig Boston flip their collective shit about it like it came out of nowhere. IT WAS ANNOUNCED TWO YEARS AGO.

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Re: Somerville Soccer Stadium If the Revs move to Somerville, they should obviously change their name to Somer Villa or the SomerVillains.

    Boston 2024

I don't think the Olympics "make money" for a host community. I do however think they represent an opportunity to jumpstart projects that will have net-positive benefits for the city and the region in the long term. If we got the litany of transit projects mentioned here and in other threads...

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Re: Somerville Soccer Stadium I've always wondered if the vibe at Gillette would be better for the Revs if they closed more mid level sections and tried to ring the field with people rather than keep everyone on one side.

    Is parking too cheap?

Just make the gas tax a percentage like sales tax, then it moves with the price.

    Crazy Transit Pitches

I've always thought it would make sense for the T to either number or letter the whole system. They get stuck in this stupid color coded convention and then we end up with things like the Indigo Line. Really? Indigo?

    Ferry to Lynn?

Does anyone think the DMU service proposed in the MBTA's Capital Investment Plan will be frequent enough/priced appropriately to negate the need for the Blue Line extension? Will DMU+ferry be enough?

    Brookline Infill and Small Developments

Yeah, I don't think they need to do a crazy amount of upzoning, but tossing a couple of floors of residential on some of those on story buildings would be excellent.

Landmark Ctr. Expansion Plans | Fenway

Make the approval permitting process simpler/faster --> more companies build more housing more quickly --> supply begins to catch up with demand --> rents stop skyrocketing year to year. The best affordable housing requirement is density.

Who do I have to pay off to make the 66 go straight on Harvard Ave and turn right on to Cambridge Street and the reverse when coming in the other direction?
