    Chelsea Infill and Small Developments

No. Chelsea will be the name of the transfer station at Mystic Mall, and Bellingham Sq will be the name for the Silver Line stop near Bellingham Sq.

This has the potential to be much better if only we had a Needham Branch on the Green Line.

Kendall Common ( née Volpe Redevelopment) | Kendall Sq | Cambridge

ISIS can't wait to take out some FRA inspectors and federal traffic engineers. Those are high priority targets that would absolutely devastate the economy, much more than taking out a completely unprotected major transit node or key junction in the power grid or a whole litany of other ideas...

MBTA Commuter Rail (Operations, Keolis, & Short Term)

Step 1, buy a single Zone 1A ticket. Step 2, scan it to enter. Step 3, place in pocket. Step 4, tell conductor you don't have a ticket/you lost your ticket/etc. Repeat from Step 2 every damn time with the same ticket purchased in Step 1 over and over and over.

Northern Avenue Bridge Fort Point Channel

You're taking the comment the wrong way. I'm not saying there's not enough park space. I'm saying that if you think a bridge is a horrible place to be, much akin to walking along a blank wall on a landscraper or down a service alley, then some park features will make the walk less daunting.

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Actually it would be all the way out via Worcester and Ayer and involve a couple foreign railroads. Between Worcester and Burncoat is P&W-owned and Burncoat to Ayer is Pan Am. Freight has ceased, as CSX has routed the traffic to Everett via Pan Am for now. They do still retain rights, however.

Northern Avenue Bridge Fort Point Channel

The only problem I see with a park on a bridge is that bridges are more expensive than terra firma. So the same park on land costs more on a bridge. That said, I don't think having ONE bridge with a park on it is such a major problem, as it'd be unique and I'd certainly enjoy the hell out of it...

MBTA Commuter Rail (Operations, Keolis, & Short Term)

I don't think that system ever rolled out. IIRC, that is the system where NIMBYs in places like Andover flipped their shit over wifi towers needing to be put up. The system prior to this, which is still the one in use today AFAIK, was also free. It was provided by AT&T and relies on their cell...

That's not a pedestrian path, that is just some gravel landscaping to show where Western Ave/Rt 107 continues. I think there's also some manholes for utilities that run up and down Western Ave in there.

One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

Not sure how good these will be, came across some demo work at 1am this morning. Seemed like a really odd time to do this. A bunch of engineers were standing around Liberty Sq watching over it.

    Reasonable Transit Pitches

Why not make a larger Lynn garage? Like that honkin' big vacant GE lot next to the new Lynn Market Basket, and sell of the existing garage. Or, the cheapskate alternative, buy a chunk of GE's excess parking immediately across the street from the existing garage to store more buses.

    AB Google Earth Guessing Game

Ah, man! The angle had me totally thrown off, I'd have never figure it out. I was trying to think of everywhere that would have a bridge and be near the tracks visible in the bottom left.

Green Line Extension to Medford & Union Sq

From what I hear, instead of building a new track for the full length of the realignment, and then throwing over the end connections for the track throw to go off in a single weekend, they will now instead be doing individual sections of track throw every weekend.

    Penny per mile odometer tax

At this point, I think the emissions from combustion engines are a drop in the bucket compared to emissions from brake and tire wear, plus chemically treating roads, plus massive plots of asphalt, plus low-density sprawl encroaching on ecosystems, etc, etc. Then there is the safety factor of...

Exciting to see the station [partially] covered. Wasn't sure we'd ever see anything resembling air rights again following the Columbus Center falling through.

    Reasonable Transit Pitches

Reasonable Pitch #496723: Dedicated E Line reservation extension from Brigham Circle to Perkins St. Ban cars on South Huntington between Perkins and Centre, this will be the terminal station and tail tracks. No loops, no mixed traffic. A clean, signal-prioritized run and change ends.
