Hope Point Tower (Fane) | 250 Dyer Street | Providence

Idk- I don't think those two are necessarily correlated. I could easily see this being built and then some moron with no appreciation of architecture or history waltzing into Providence and knocking down ITB to build some ugly box 20 feet taller- I think that was Hasbro's idea.

Design a Better Fort Point Channel

If Widdett circle is developed I'd like to see the channel extended down into small canals through the development

The Caldwell Apartments | 34 Munroe St | Lynn

Calling that building a "tower" is generous- but definitley the apartments will be a good thing for the community.

New Red and Orange Line Cars

Caught a new train today- Love it, but the beeping doors will slowly drive me mad.

    Providence Construction

Ik and the building is only maybe a couple stories taller than the old brick one across the street. It's not like its a neighborhood of small single family houses

    Worcester Infill and Developments

The fact that Worcester couldn't afford to preserve two lovely buildings is sad and also the reason they lose nice things.

    The Boston "what if" thread

What if the Charlestown Elevated had been built all the way north to Malden like it had been intended? Or put in a subway like the town lobbied for? Probably no Haymarket North, but I wonder how the feels of the neighborhoods it would have passed through would change.

The Sudbury (Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower) | 50 Sudbury St | GCG Phase I | Gov't Center

The individual windows do wonders for making it feel taller. One's eye just sees a glass curtain as a endless plane with no sense of scale. The little windows really put things in perspective.

Fort Point Infill and Small Developments

In Barcelona they have small bumps every 7 feet or so on the side- I think a little raise at the side would keep peds from straying into the path

Hope Point Tower (Fane) | 250 Dyer Street | Providence

Tower looks like it should be in Atlantic City or Orlando, not Providence. I actually think it would look better glass-sheathed, rather than those horrible black window bands. Good to see development in such a great city, though.

    Unbuilt roads around metro Boston

I wonder what Zarilli would think of the new flood barrier idea and how some folks have proposed to run a highway/rail corridor over it.

    Providence developments

Thanks, Nicanbot. I like those Wickenden apartments, Providence needs something like those.

I'm OK with boring if its in mass transit.

Hope Point Tower (Fane) | 250 Dyer Street | Providence

I still dislike it. If it were maybe a block or two north it would be good but now its just Jersey Shore meets Le Corbusier.
