50 West Street is quite striking in person. What comes through somewhat in your images is how the individual units give the building a lot of movement. I don’t know if that was intentional.

Is it truly economics or more to do with a historic pre-war style unique to NYC, particularly UWS/UES? Where in Boston would these types of buildings naturally fit outside the Back Bay, which has no parcels for development? Perhaps anything Boston Common adjacent.
