Could battery locomotives ever be a solution in a partially wired-up system? Perhaps a conversion of the more modern locomotives would work? I feel like that could be a solution for outside-128 bound trains with EMU’s working inside. Maybe if freight railroads pour enough resources into battery...

It looks like there would be enough room where this office building is, although the wetlands may prove difficult to build over/around. You would also need to redesign the interchange slightly to have access ramps, so it may be getting into more crazy transit pitch territory. I think...

USM has a fairly large rink with an Olympic-sized ice surface on their Gorham campus. all of their athletic facilities are located there.

The city put the kibosh on this location for the reasons you mentioned about the storm water tanks. I doubt they even put provisions in place for a foundation to support a structure, especially one of that size...

That’s not a bad idea. I wonder if they’re just banking (praying) on battery technology improving enough to make those obsolete. It definitely would’ve been worth a pilot program though
