Alfond Foundation $500 Million gift to multiple Maine entities

There are no plans to renovate the Pit. It had some upgrades done a few years back including a new court, some paint, better lighting....and a new video board installed this season. They won't be putting anymore major money into it though.

Alfond Foundation $500 Million gift to multiple Maine entities

They both played all of their games there for a few seasons....then the women moved all of their games to the Pit....and now the men also play most of their games there too. The men's team played 2 games in Bangor this season. The CIC never seemed to embrace UMaine as a major tenant and booted...

Alfond Foundation $500 Million gift to multiple Maine entities

That is correct. The BOT just approved the $46 million renovation for Alfond Arena and Shawn Walsh Center which will start this spring...completion for the 25-26 season. Next up after that will be the centerpiece of the Athletics Master Plan.....Morse Arena (basketball) which is rumored to...

That's what I was thinking....is it possible that Waterstone could sell to someone that knows what they are doing?

Rock Row (née The Ridge, née Dirigo Plaza) | Westbrook, ME

DanielPWM19 said: It's sad to think the Rock Row development is a flop. It was something to be excited over, but in a sense we all sort of knew not to hold our breaths. Just like the Portland Foreside development, or Midtown, or any number of things we've been disappointed by over the years...

    General Portland Discussion

Why did Rock Row have to become so convoluted? All they had to do was build a mix of condos and apartment buildings.....and an array of retail/dining options that every loves. It's been done before all over the place....what was the freakin problem?

Interesting architectural design for the Alfond Arena and Shawn Walsh Center additions. I'm pleasantly surprised.

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

You think most people go to Starbucks for pure coffee? They go for the other drinks and food....and some are pretty good. But alas....capitalism is dead when it comes to coffee shops in Portland and we are left with local shops that have limited hours and selections. I'm just waiting for...

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

I'd love to see a coffee shop not named Dunkin. Personally I love Starbucks....which seems to be a four letter word in Portland. When I was there for a hockey game.....no one could give me the name of a place to get coffee in the evening. #Sad

In a dream scenario.....those streets can be rebuilt, right? Seems like Newbury St would be rebuilt to join either Adams St or Fore St? And maybe even Federal St could be extended to join Adams? Freedom Way could be extended North (West?) to Sheridan St for smaller blocks and better traffic...
