The 3,000 would be seating capacity. The Women's team draws very well as they are almost always 1st or 2nd in their league (currently they have a 15-2 record) and often make the NCAA tournament. Back in the day in the Cindy Blodgett era they used to sell out the Alfond Arena which was 5,000+...

Alfond Foundation $500 Million gift to multiple Maine entities

Mahaney Diamond to get a new state of the art synthetic field turf, upgrades to the locker rooms, coaches offices, meeting room and Pavilion areas. Surprising to me to see that the new basketball arena doesn't appear to have any luxury boxes as I would suspect donors and financial supporters to...

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

Although I realize the Federal Street Tower Design at the top floor is significantly different than this design, something similar to this would be impressive from 295. Overall I like the latest design much better.

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

I always liked this project that was never built that was to be next to Back Bay Tower on Cumberland Ave. I particularly liked the top portion of the building with the arched roof at each side of the building.

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

Some aspects of this 16 story building I like such as the glass at the corners and the large glass windows at the top floor of the building. I realize the overall look and color scheme of this building would never work at the Federal Street location but in the end I would like to see a bit more...
