89 Elm Street | Port Properties Bayside Phase 1A | Portland

Welcome to Portland Maine, where we have the dullest and most depressing architecture in New England, but we will complain about having a beautiful cityscape. Don't get us started on constructing a high-rise over 7 stories!

    Patriot Place | Foxboro

I know what you mean regarding a domed stadium. I remember back in the early 80s there was some talk of building a dome in Boston. Glad they shot that down. Now I love an outdoor venue for football, but at least make it reflective of the region/area. The lighthouse is a cute feature, but at the...

    Patriot Place | Foxboro

Its a shame that a stadium with nose bleeds that far away from the field does not even seat 70k. I would have preferred the Krafts add about 10k more seats than add a massive scoreboard. Now get going on a new Rev soccer stadium!

The Armature | 52 Hanover St | Portland

Now who can afford that? My mortgage is $2100 a month and thats a deal in this housing crisis. Imagine going back 25 years and telling the locals in 2023 rent in Bayside will be close to 6k a month for a 2 bedroom? They would laugh at you! Portland needs a couple more 18 story residential buildings.

    Historic Portland Discussion

I remember seeing updated renderings a few years back- but probably was precovid. Yes the city would benefit greatly. I know some were concerned with the increase od traffic from the new office buildings by the water- but that is a very Maine thing to worry about. Portland is a city, traffic...

Portland Foreside | 58 Fore Street | Portland

First thought that comes to mind is Blue back sq. In West Hartford on Steroids. Although happy so far not to hear of any chain stores and restaurants going in. These buildings are extremly blah- 1970 blah too.

    100 Fore Street | Portland

I know I wrote it before but its a shame this area was not considered for a new arena back when the entire area/lots were vacant. A mini Chase Center (New S.F. arena)-12k capacity would have been nice right over here. Although I think 5 acres would have be the minimium for a development of that...

83 Middle St | CHOM Affordable Housing | Portland

Just wait 10 years then Portland will become Cambridge, Massachusetts on steroids. This is both a great urban/city concern and what many cities envy/want to become. Manchvegas where I reside is finally seeing some growth in the downtown area, but nothing compared to Portland. Manchester has more...

    Portland Bayside

Let me guess, he was able to build his McMansion in Maine, but now he wants all other development in Bayside to stop? Get a grip. He should join this forum so he can babble to the critics.

Portland, ME - New Construction Continued

I know the locals were losing their minds with the parking situation for this facility. Between the capacity and the parking, it seems the NIMBYs are fired up about this project. This project seems to be destined never to be built.

    75 Chestnut Street | Portland

I wonder if the developer was a U of Michigan alum/fan? This Color pattern will look worn or dulled once the sun bakes the siding. Manchester has a similar building going up right across from Market Basket on Elm street. Instead of a scrap yard next door, there is a vape store. Color me not...

Potential Soccer Stadium | Portland peninsula

Are there any new renderings of Fitzpatrick Stadium reconfigured for Soccer/Football- Redfern, your current renderings look sharp! Curious if there will be noticeable budget cuts given the inflation/snail's pace of progress on it. One main challenge from a game day operating standpoint would be...

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

With this being said, are there any official or financially backed plans to build any other high-rise buildings in Portland? Also any other possible stores for the ground floor? If it wasn't for oil, I think Tulsa would be the size of Portland or even smaller. If you go there, bring your own...

Potential Soccer Stadium | Portland peninsula

I know this conversation should be on the Arena thread, but could the Thompson's Point section support a new 10k arena with ice? I know there is a train stop right there. I am not sure what the size of Thompson point is, but an arena usually needs about 4 -5 acres. The footprint for the proposed...
