    Portland International Jetport | PWM

What exactly is the reconstruction of taxiway A? Is it just a resurfacing or do they take it down to earth?

Roux Institute Campus Development | Portland

On some of the renderings it looks like there is a dock connected to the end of the pier. I don't remember seeing this discussed/written anywhere, so maybe it's future expansion?

Potential Soccer Stadium | Portland peninsula

Plan Number: PL-002836-2024 To accommodate use from a Minor League Soccer team coming to Maine, the project proposes to construct two (2) locker rooms and relocation/addition of three (3) storage containers, along with associated utility updates. Some progress

Infill and Small Developments | Portland

Not sure of the exact lot boundaries, but here's roughly where the proposed buildings would be - the Daymark is on the right, I've outlined the 89 Elm St development in blue. I'm wondering if the 197 Oxford building would take the garden too - doesn't seem like you could fit 52 units in 5 floors...

Portland Museum of Art Expansion | Portland

I can't imagine the full council says yes. I just hope that this doesn't completely kill the project and if it doesn't - and they seriously consider the Spring St lot - that they aren't afraid to radically change the design. I'd just hate for it to look awkward, sticking a building designed to...

    Portland's Franklin Street redesign

I know you mentioned drive-ability earlier, but depending on what direction the redesign heads it could be 5 lanes (see 2015 study) - not a change. Even if that doesn't happen and it drops to 3 lanes, I think it's plausible that downtown traffic naturally starts to more frequently use High St...

Augusta Civic Center | 76 Community Drive | Augusta

"Councilor Mike Michaud said it is nearly impossible to measure the economic impact the building has had on Augusta when hosting events..." Is there actually any hard data on the economic impact? Without it, hard to make a case for a new building. Also hard to make a case for a new building if...

I feel the same about The Casco - can't wait to see what the next project is.

Infill and Small Developments | Portland

Looks like work has started on this - they've fenced in part of the parking lot in the rear and plenty of trades vans around. I really think this project and the new park across the street will be a great transition from the Old Port to the New Port.

    Portland's Franklin Street redesign

I think you would only need to remove it until Federal - from Federal to Congress it is easily two-way already.

    Portland's Franklin Street redesign

I'm wondering (if the redesign happens and for the sake of gaming it out) things start backing up on the new Franklin, if East End/Wex/Sun Life/58 Fore traffic could be encouraged to use Mountfort or India/Washington Ave to help ease things. And I realize 295 access is limited at Washington, so...

    Portland's Franklin Street redesign

Found this on the "Rebuild Franklin Street Now" Facebook page - they credit MDOT - numbers are extended beyond those found in the 2015 Phase II study (is there a more recent one?) Here are the RFSN takeaways: Traffic volumes decrease significantly as you move towards the waterfront. There is...

    Portland's Franklin Street redesign

Found another - interesting squeezing two buildings in next to Top of the Old Port. If TOP ever gets developed I wonder if they put a road in between.

The Ultility Poles and Wires of Portland, ME

It's shameful when a surrounding town shows up Portland (this is in front of Costco). Imagine how much cable and wood could be saved if we just use mini poles and cut all the corners on the peninsula.
