Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

No honestly, not at all. It's the aggregate summation of where every thread goes these days. I didn't at all have intent direct at anyone. We all feel it here now and get tied in at times but no, I assure you it's predicated on just he fact that we joined this for what it is inherently and we...

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

The Monday Morning QB here is insane. The net gain from everything done is unquantifiable, rhetorically 😬. We went from parking lots to not just full development but housing (I know what you're going to say, relax), business, economy, urban planning... I mean everyone just stop bitching. The...

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

I mean this location is perfect. The lobbyists from Encore are pushing for this without question, as well. Takes that monstrosity away and now guests don't have to look at that through their window. With their new sportsbook, it brings more sporting fans to the area. The urban planning should...

Wu isn't torpedoing it. She should absolutely show some sort of opposition in order to get the most from them. It's valuable land and if it makes the area more pedestrian-friendly without costing taxpayers, then it's a win for everyone.

I think spiting most (all) of us, would be worth it. Press Release: "FAA decided it was actually in the 400' Zone - SO SOORRRY Archboston.org/com. Enjoy this fatter, shorter than One Congress, glass nightmare' 'And no the expanded arch concourse is not going all the way to Summer Street. You...

Let's hope it takes less than a year and a half here to replace the plywood with windows....(cough, cough....One Dalton)

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I think you're missing my dumb point. Due to its location from the directions I named, and against the render shown, it absolutely looks like it dwarfs. And 'dwarf' is a subjective term in which I've deemed appropriate in this instance due to the lack of significant height variance almost anywhere.

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

Because of where this building is located, it's going to look massive. The Fed is prominent currently because of relevance but SST dwarfs that building. While taking the Encore Boats from Commonwealth Pier, this will extend the skyline for the duration of that ride now that the other end in West...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Yeah the visual footprint in the skyline by this bad boy is really unique and needed. It works really well from East Boston, Boston harbor and then Charles or back bay but a crown of uplighting on this one would have been (FLAME EMOJI). When you walk from the Garden to South Station now, it's...

Certainly took the easier/cheaper route on the windows than 1 Dalton, which to me are the beautiful part with their curvature.

One Mystic | 1 Mystic Avenue | Charlestown

They really should have taken a page from the Encore renders that made it look like it was essentially in the city. This render makes it seem like Boston is a flight away. Smart that they lied about the traffic density though. 'Here's the city wayyyyy out there and here's the nightmare traffic...

Honestly, solid logic. It certainly works the other way... The longer things take, the more of a disaster we know a respective project will be. I'll jump with you on this one. They chose the worst building in the city way too early, it usually comes in the final render :)

    ISQ3 | 22 Drydock Avenue | Seaport

Second stint now in NYC, eight years aggregately, and I'm tapped. Yeah, there are a lot of cool things, sure. The bad, the frustrating, the nightmare overtake it all; the city is in decline and we need to stop comparing any of it with Boston. We don't want to be this s***hole place. Honestly...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Well put, but per column wouldn't you still assume for a % loss even with tight supply? If they can make enough for the building, they can make a couple more per column.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

I wonder how long we are going to play the window game here. Why wouldn't there be an assumption for breakage/loss so you can actually window up the whole friggin thing on time.
