I bet Ron Newman has one.

I like it except for the front door. And good filler is what separates the great cities from the crappy ones.

    Boston Skyline Photos

I have high hopes for the ICA once it gets some context around it. It's hard for any building, even a brilliant one (a status which the ICA approaches in some respects, and fails miserably in other respects), to stand completely alone with no trees or buildings around it and look great doing...

    115 Federal St. (Winthrop Square)

Hey guys...it looks to me like that might be a cartoonish version of the Hancock Tower. Isn't it too far south to be Winthrop Sq? It would be extremely weird for them to use a graphic with a non-existent building in it...

Boston's Finest Thwart Cartoon Network Terror Plot

The problems began when the police called the contraption at Sullivan a "suspicious package." It may have been suspicious, but it wasn't a package. Putting that out there gave the impression that there was a wire filled bag hanging under the highway and thus gave the terrorism angle legitimacy...

South End Infill and Small Developments

I agree with you that we've developed a hyper-active anti-gentrification impulse in Boston that creates grandfathered neighborhood rights that impede improvement in many cases. However, I think you would do well to try look at our housing situation from a point of view beyond your blinkered "W"...

    Broadluxe

Is it possible that there are people who would be more likely to buy at Broadluxe than at 80 Broad Street? I doubt they'll keep calling it Broadluxe after they've sold out all the condos.

South End Infill and Small Developments

Dude, your worldview always starts with the assumption that everyone else in the world (like your drug addict example) has a) good enough health (including psychiatric) to earn a good living, b) enough education to earn a good living and c) no more obstacles to making a good living than a...

    Copley Place

Tragically, Newbury Pizza closed. I loved that place and it was a huge loss to Newbury Street. Their meatball subs were unbeatable. Not that Upper Crust and Scoozi are bad, but they just don't feel like neighborhood pizza parlors.

Thanks Van! I love the one with the black background. It's not even remotely accurate. I hope it wasn't used as an official map anywhere.

Four Seasons, Heritage on the Garden

There was a high rise proposal on this site before Heritage was built. I think Heritage is one of the best complexes in Boston, so I'm glad it wasn't built.
