    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

Wow that's a LOT more than I counted! I guess some of the larger looking blocks may in fact be 2 or more lots, but that makes this a more complete neighborhood when some more housing components are added.

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

That was going to be my response as well. It works as a barrier here because it's not like there's a view of the ocean or even downtown, it's just elevated highway, and in that sense it doesn't completely isolate it any more than the T tracks and other ground barriers always have. It's the best...

    Cambridge Crossing (NorthPoint) | East Cambridge/Charlestown | Cambridge/Boston

That drone video was awesome! I was trying to count how many more buildings are still yet to start in the Crossing- maybe 4 or 5 more? I drive by this pretty much every day on 93 but never get to see in between and get that aerial perspective so it's nice to see how well this is turning out!

Skanska Office Tower | 380 Stuart Street | Back Bay

I like this a lot and in fact wish it was a bit taller to have more impact, but my concern is how redundant this plus the other stacked-book proposal around the corner at Back Bay station will look together. Will it be too much? Plus having the other one at BU (though you won't really be able to...

One Post Office Square Makeover and Expansion | Financial District

It seems as though the top half glass is going to stick out further than the bottom half glass. How are they going to align the 2 halves? Also I thought the redesign was eliminating those overhangs on the corners? I'm confused by this but I definitely like the red accents.

Bay Village Apartment Tower | 212 Stuart St. | Bay Village

Something about that facade just isn't sitting right with me. Maybe it's the off-centered alignment, or the color, or the visible gaps between panels, I'm not sure it's going to come out looking like the renders. I know the glass will probably make a difference, but just looking at the glass...

Kenmore Square North (WHOOP) | 533-541 Commonwealth Ave | Fenway

That's just not true. Already we're seeing the bars and clubs coming back til 2am and spilling out til 2:30 or so, and there are many neighborhoods that this exists other than Theater District. More bars and clubs will be opening up throughout Boston, Somerville, and Cambridge, and there is a...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Not to be crude, but some people I know have already started referring to this building as "The Vag", because of the shape of the slit up the middle. As a gay man, I have no idea what they're talking about lol though actually the ones I heard say that were also gay...

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

I kept thinking this was going to be hidden by the Hancock from most angles but as I'm seeing this more clearly with the crane, it actually will be very visible and help fill that void between this and the Pru. Now if we could get Copley tower built and something sizeable on the lots around Club...

    Looks like a school.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

From some of those river views above, I think this is going to look to be roughly the same size as MT (I know it's actually going to be shorter, just the perspective). What a difference that and the addition of Winthrop will be to that downtown view!

The St Regis Residences (former Whiskey Priest site) | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

I stated this earlier that I have a close friend who is in luxury condo sales in the city and she says the interest in this is greater than almost every other luxury residence in development. She told me that close to half of the units have deposits and many other interested parties were waiting...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I've seen pictures of some of the interiors here and they are gorgeous, so congrats on a beautiful place, awesome location and sooo much to do once things get back to normal. They really should invest in alternate forms of advertising though...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

I was thinking the same thing and as the glass is applied, I think it will continue to appear thinner and taller. I was also thinking that once the glass "fins" reach their total height, based on the top of the core, I actually think this is going to be taller than anticipated. Maybe it will...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

The tacky advertisement with the taxicab yellow and the "Yes, this is a pool" across the top is just so hideous, I can't believe anyone who can afford to live there would want to.

View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

I think there are ways to modernize the facade without totally losing the "Pru feel", like keeping the color palette the same but using a different material and more modern, streamlined glass. I've also always thought they should make an actual pointed crown incorporating the huge antenna on...

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Precisely. I lived in Shanghai for several years and traveled extensively throughout Asia and they always said something like "Oh yea Boston- great schools!" or "Oh Boston- my [bio/med/tech] company has a big office there!" and I agree that often Asians weren't familiar with most other American...

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Airport-wise, which is what this article is referring to, Logan isn't a hub and therefore secondary to even Detroit or Atlanta, but not the city (metro) overall. I've lived around the country and in other countries as well and from my vast national and international interactions, Boston is and...

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

I've been reading this site since '08 but only joined for commenting last year. Not sure why it took me so long. I know all about the different commenters on here, past and present.

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Except it is. Some people are stuck in the mindset of old Boston from 30+ years ago, which I would agree, when I was a kid, Boston was an also-ran in many ways. Since the turn of this century, Boston has changed tremendously, and that goes not just for the region's population growth but also the...
