    Aerials

Wasn't there an MDC pool smack dab in the middle of the airport before "LOGAN 2000"? Next to that football stadium???

Better use of waterfront - Southeast Expressway

Look at the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway and what that did for the surrounding area. That area from South Station down to about Gallivan Boulevard that could be some stellar upscale beachfront property.

Better use of waterfront - Southeast Expressway

It looks like Lynn is now taking a keen interest in rehabbing parts of their waterfront. http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2014/09/27/lynn-ferry-has-ripple-effect/KcVDaeRZfJjYapWBE0feMM/story.html It's got me thinking. IF the Southeast Expressway could be reconfigured to have a calm...

    North Station-South Station Rail Link

Everyone that takes the pike is supposed to pay a toll so if you get on at Southeast Expressway you pay up at Alston--Brighton. If you get on at Newton, then you payup at Allston--Brighton too. If people are getting off around Back Bay then they're getting a free ride on the Pike.

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Re: I-90 Interchange Improvement Project (Allston) Still would be nice if there were more interconnections to the north of Boston so you don't have to go into the downtown region just to get off the commuter rail or Amtrak heading from Haverhill/New Hampshire to take another commuter rail lets...

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Re: I-90 Interchange Improvement Project (Allston) LOL If Boston side doesn't want the traffic. Cambridge side of the river doesn't either.

    Crazy Transit Pitches

Urban ring places a large amount of emphasis on Kendall Square/"Cambridge Center"/MIT. Kendal Square is like 7-8 mins from the Red/Green connection at Park, it is also be a stones throw from the proposed blue connection at Charles MGH. and no more than 10-12 mins from the red-orange-silver...

I-90 Interchange Improvement Project & West Station | Allston

Re: I-90 Interchange Improvement Project (Allston) In the Fresh Pond Resident's Alliance fora some people mentioned the idea about eliminating most of the traffic off Memorial Drive in Cambridge too by collaborated Deep Tunnel Bore below the Charles River...

    BCEC expansion | Seaport

It would be nice if they could take some land next to the convention center and "deck" a nice green park over the Turnpike behind the sidewalk. It would provide some nice restpite next to that concrete jungle around there. Perhaps with some nice out-door food stalls (ice cream) an outdoor...

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

Re: Driven By Customer 'Service' Parte Dos I've seen accident reports come in at the MBTA. Wait until the lawsuits die down to believe "no one is hurt". Doesn't exist at the MBTA. People used to see buses get into accidents and run and jump on the bus and try to claim they too were in the...

General MBTA Topics (Multi Modal, Budget, MassDOT)

Re: Driven By Customer 'Service' Parte Dos People are too careless to put Commuter Rail passes on card. Expensive card readers are required, (so are you all willing to have another fare increase to pay for them?) and if people crack their charlie card they can't be read and people will be...

    Overpasses in and around Boston

I know an acquaintance that works security at that building. The Pedestrian Overpass goes above Route 9 to the New England Institute of Art. a/k/a "Ai". From what I was made aware, the overpass is off limits. The ramps up to it have been blockaded because it is believed it could collapse. Ai...

    Overpasses in and around Boston

That's Route 9. There's really not much difference between that and the existing overpass they have now about 200 hundred yards to the east (supporting the Jamaica Way). The one located at the intersection of Huntington Avenue with South Huntington Avenue.. I tried to spin Google Maps around...

This recent Snowstorm Not a Pleasurable One for the MBTA!!

A lot of the really knowledgable MBTA people left in 2007-2008 when the cut back on wages began. Those that had the time vested bolted for the doors and sold their services back to the MBTA as expensive consultants. Penny wise, pound foolish on the state's part. The new people will have to...

    What Happened to Obama's HSR?

Re: What Happened to Obama's HSR? Not Joe Biden? Obama? I thought it was Joe Biden that came up with the HSR? Anyway, I liked one of the proposed maps which I saw last month or month, before...

    Overpasses in and around Boston

That area would look a lot less confused if they put the Fitchburg tracks below grade. (The Green line along with it which is using the same ROW) that would have part of the Urban Ring ROW below grade there too. Those tracks pass behind Twin City Plaza and behind the old A.J. Wright / Fretters...

If you designed a metro/subway for Worcester, MA how would it look?

Thanks for the map. I'm looking at it again, and again. I like it! I started trying to look for everything I've ever heard of out in Worcester and it seems your proposed system is close to many of those things. Nice contribution!

If you designed a metro/subway for Worcester, MA how would it look?

I wonder much of the same too, however Massachusetts spends quite a bit more on Greater Boston mass transit in comparison to Worcester/Springfield. To see that main block in Worcester's core which was partially knockdown and rebuilt that area is hoping to rejuvenate, so clearly WOR needs...

If you designed a metro/subway for Worcester, MA how would it look?

As the second largest city in all of New England, if you were to layout a metro/subway for Worcester, MA how would you plan it? Do you think better mass transit to the Worcester Airport would attract some airlines to serve this airport that Massport currently pays for.
