165 Washington Ave | Northern Burner Supply Redevelopment | Portland

They had a couple of neighborhood meetings, and they were mixed due to lack of parking provided. The development does meet the 2020 ordinance requirements passed by the city council that any residential complex located within 1/4 mile of a bus line does not need parking. Plus, businesses located...

The hotel will be mostly used for hospitality for the concerts where the acts can hang out before the concert, plus with a roof top lounge will help. A big upgrade from the shipping containers used currently and the outhouse.

    Portland Passenger Rail

I am not a NIMBY, and I take offense to that. If you read the PPH from the Cumberland residents, you would understand. Yes they have trails, but its this specific one they are opposed to. In Cumberland, meanwhile, the interim trail plan encountered opposition on two fronts: from homeowners who...

    Portland Passenger Rail

It would be called the HOBO trail. Residents in Cumberland/Yarmouth do not want the trail because they know what will happen. These trail lovers don't live on or near the line which will see an increase in encampments/theft from neighbors, etc. These are the same ones who want the mtn division...

Old Port Square (née Canal Plaza) | Portland

I think the Brown Cow project will be a go and no delays in Contruction, the building meets the height and zone requirements. Now 477 Congress is another issue. This project reminds me of the Superman building in Providence which is sitting idle and was supposed to be converted to condos. The...

Old Port Square (née Canal Plaza) | Portland

Portland paused hotel development. Then it left time for 2 to go forward. By Zara Norman, 14 hours ago The slow rollout of a hotel moratorium in Maine’s largest city undercut its aim of slowing new development. Portland city councilors voted 6-2 to impose a six-month moratorium on new hotel...

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

I am so glad they will take the space. It's the right tenant. Either Bow Street or Rosemont is the right choice. I can't tell if they will have a deli to offer sandwiches, meats, etc. The teants will be glad to have a beer/wine cooler in the same building. There goes the rent...LOL

Portland Music Hall | Cumberland Avenue

I read all the comments over the past days in the PPH, WGME, etc. both for and against this project. You have people pushing for affordable housing, well, that's good, but why don't you buy the parcel and develop it with your own money I say. Then you have others that it's a travesty to build...

Just a side note, BGR will have Sat only service to ATL on Delta. Technically, this route is coming back. This should help the Acadia National Park crowd.

As a member of the local stagehand union and city employee, I welcome the opportunity to work at this venue. The issues we face at Merrill is the dock/lift on the back side of the building on Cumberland Ave. At some load outs, we go to 3am in the morning depending on the event. We are limited to...

My other thought is that Frontier let the Jetport know that is cutting back for the Summer, so to fill the slots for the gate, the Jetport put out its feelers which allowed Avelo to come in to fill the gap.

Those routes were ended several months ago, Frontier is also in midst of changing with added first class as with gutting other cities as well. With Avelo coming in and Sun Country adding additional flights to MSP, the slots probably were not available for the gates and did not work out for...
