Portland International Jetport | PWM

Just a side note, BGR will have Sat only service to ATL on Delta. Technically, this route is coming back. This should help the Acadia National Park crowd.

A couple of photos from my brother's flight (Delta A350) from South Korea a few days ago showing the aurora borealis from the flight deck. Sadly, the aircraft needs at least 8000 foot of runway to land so he can't visit me in Portland anymore like he did while flying the narrow bodies.

Happy New Year! It looks like American has loaded daily DFW non-stops beginning at the start of June on 737-800's with an A321 on Saturdays.
Still a ways off, but that's the earliest in the year that they've started daily service instead of Saturday summer service. Good sign...

I'm hoping 2025 is the year that DEN becomes year-round. I'm currently trying to book a trip to SFO in March and it's clear that the Jetport's biggest weakness is a lack of western connections during the slower months.

Maybe @Portlander should bug Paul Bradbury about it ;)

May 22nd - October 25th to Denver is all we've got for now. And you are correct, westbound off season options are Delta to DTW and United to ORD on regional jets. It's criminal! :)

Even BTV has 2-3x daily to ORD with 737's from December to May! I wouldn't even mind regional jets to DTW / ORD but 1-2x daily just doesn't cut it for good connecting options.

I know the winter is slower...But from December to May I think PWM could support:

2 x daily to DL to DTW - 1x mainline and 1x regional
__
2 x daily UA to ORD - both mainline
OR
3 x daily UA to ORD - all regional
__
1 x daily UA to DEN - mainline (Probably A319)

My *semi-realistic* year-round service wishlist would also include:

1 x daily WN to either BNA or MDW - 737-7
__
2 x daily AA to CLT - 1 x A321 1 x A319
__
1 x daily AA to MIA - regional in summer, mainline in winter.
__
2 x daily DL to ATL - Both A321's

I am onboard with your vision and it always puzzles me when it comes to the sharp drop off in service between December and May especially during the holidays which is supposed to be the busiest travel period of the year.
