    Portland International Jetport | PWM

They're phasing out their E-190's fleet wide. They'll be mostly gone by this time next year. B6 just made a series of network cuts that PWM survived. Apparently additional "network rebalancing" will occur in the fall so we'll see what that could mean for JetBlue at PWM. Breeze will also be...

"New uniforms for the prettiest girls this side of Miami Beach" The 70's definitely were a different time. :ROFLMAO:

165 Washington Ave | Northern Burner Supply Redevelopment | Portland

Well the recent MaineBiz article did say that Redfern was "in the early planning stages for 1,000 new apartment units on the Portland peninsula" We've got +/-340 here so that leaves another +/-660 unaccounted for....More than enough for a big downtown project or two ;)

The Casco | 201 Federal Street | Portland

One of my coworkers is moving into 201 at the beginning of April. She kept going on and on about the quality of the public spaces and how smooth the leasing process had been. Just another example that Redfern does it best!

165 Washington Ave | Northern Burner Supply Redevelopment | Portland

I had seriously never noticed that the Northern Burner Supply building was the old car barn! The building has been altered so much it's hardly recognizable. (Although given recent events with the PMA let's not get into a discussion about how alterations impact historic buildings :p)

I do think PQI has room to grow and capture market share from BGR.... but I'm a bit skeptical as to whether there would ever be enough demand to fill an A220 every day even to just a 75% load factor. I think JetBlue is interested in PQI primarily for operational reasons.....it helps feed their...

Infill and Small Developments | Portland

The 50 units is just the first phase. The intention is to build another 5-6 story, 50ish unit building at the intersection of Boyd and Cumberland and then 20ish units of townhomes along Mayo St.

I With the A220 or even the A320neo / 737MAX runway length shouldn't be an issue for any transcon flights in any weather condition. That being said, my breakdown would be.... Reasonable: United seasonal to IAH Breeze or Frontier seasonal to SJU Breeze or Frontier seasonal to CUN Possible...

Infill and Small Developments | Portland

When it comes to affordable housing, margins are often razor thin....Architectural embellishment is expensive and it sounds hyperbolic but sometimes small design details can be a determining factor of what makes a project financially viable or not. I'd much rather have 26 affordable units in...

Roux Institute Campus Development | Portland

Based on what was said in the last Planning Board workshop, it seems like the IDEALS team may still be debating whether to have housing on-site or not. They have firm plans to build a hotel and additional lab space in the future, but it seems they're favoring off-site residential for the time being.

The site of the new "LRC" building will be raised 1-2 feet to at least help mitigate flooding risk. The bean building is still more vulnerable but they're deliberately not placing anything valuable on the 1st floor of that building for the sake of flood damage mitigation.

Would SJU require the FIS facility? To my understanding flights to Puerto Rico are considered domestic flights.

I think PSM would be too close to PWM and the they'd each cannibalize each others passengers for certain markets like Orlando. MHT struggles to retain service but so does PSM. Frontier pulled out of Pease after less than a year, and Allegiant has been slowly scaling back service...

Portland Museum of Art Expansion | Portland

It's almost a guarantee that the Council will follow the recommendations of the HPB and Planning Board. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if the PMA sees the writing on the wall and decides to give up on Free St. and advance a Spring St. design

Good news for MHT, I just hope this doesn't cambialize their passengers from PWM.

For new nonstops I'd put my money on VRB, PBI or FLL. MSY or SAV also seem like solid possibilities. LAS or LAX would be amazing but I don't think we're -quite- there yet...Although keep in mind that Breeze is getting 50+ new A220's within the next 3 years...I feel like it's only a matter of...

Just noticed that Breeze has quietly doubled the amount of lift between PWM and Fort Myers from now through the end of April. Going from 2 to 4x weekly with some weeks having an additional 5th flight. TPA remains at 2x weekly but I wouldn't be surprised if that changes.
