    NYC Architecture and Development

This isn't a Penn station redevelopment. It is a way to give multiple city blocks and a ten figure tax break to Vornado as a kick back for helping to get people elected. *reposted becasue of messed up syntax*

Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

The way the world is right now I'm sure we could find another literal Nazi, like Johnson, to build more fascist-coded architecture for us. Palladian windows for all the people that deserve them and no one else...

Alta on the Row | Mulberry Street | Worcester (Mount Carmel Site)

Mostly this whole development is just a stab I'm my heart. Growing up I went to about 3 weddings in that church and played in that gym countless times. Replacing a beautiful if crumbling church building with anonymous apartment blocks and a parking garage hurts more than a little. Is the housing...

Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

Words like "transformational" are thrown around a ton, but this project is going to change everything around here. Incredable it is getting built and I am interested in what the vibe of the area is going to change to after it is open and settles in. Will it make this windswept corner of the city...

Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial | Boston Common | Downtown

I still hold that this is going to become seflie fuel and so many inappropriate pictures are going to be taken with it.

    NYC Architecture and Development

New official renderings for JPMorgan Chase's headquarters at 270 Park Ave just dropped. The tower itself is interesting in shape and how it expresses it's structure, and I'm into how it is raised off the ground like 175 Park, but that ground floor is a disgustingly empty no-man's land...

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

I am absolutely loving the pleated façade. The fractured reflections of the sky are so interesting. As the glass gets further up we should see some spectacular sunset images with the pleats catching different colors of sky in vertical stripes all the way up the building.

84 floors. 46 apartments. Has me feeling a certain sort of way.

    Blue Line extension to Lynn

I think this is the right place for this as connecting Wonderland to the commuter rail would reasonably be a first step to extending the blue line, but please feel free to move if I am mistaken...

    Commuter Rail to New Hampshire?

But doesn't a state have a right to tax goods and services? Isn't the storage of a vehicle or a train ticket a service? If there is a passenger station in Nashua shouldn't the state be able to add a tax in the same way local airports can add a "fee" to airline tickets? In NY you get hit with...

    Commuter Rail to New Hampshire?

Forgive me for maybe being a bit naive on how passanger rail networks work, but all this scheming between MassDOT, CSX, Nashua etc. Seems to be a recipe for disaser. If they all really do decide to run trains into NH without the NH state government behind it you would suddenly have a bunch of...

    Nashua NH - New Development

wait. what? the seating goes straight up to the edge of the building? where is the tech booth? where is the acoustical void?

BU Data Sciences Center | 665 Commonwealth Avenue | BU Central

I understand the façade treatments on all but the lowest level of this building. Is that just the same glass in strips with varying bands inset about a foot? are those inset bands at a slight angle or is it two different types of glass with different reflective properties? Wait, is it actually...

    Union Square D2.1 | 10 Prospect Street | Somerville

There is some real depth to that facade. Should do some wonderfull things with shadows.

Riverside Development | 333 Grove Street | Newton

The architecture is a bit "Anywhere, America" now but I'm still all on for the density and concept of the development.

Two Congress | Bulfinch Crossing East Parcel | West End

Then we should be complaining abut the MBTA's late-in-the-game decision against building over it, not claiming the developers pulled a "bait-and-switch."
