Yeah I wonder how this would be managed with Downeaster customers needing access to the platforms as well. Amtrak can’t possibly be expected to create a tappable/scannable ticket or app that is compatible with every regional rail network. The SEPTA implementation sounds terrible.

Definitely not accessible in its current state. This will be the main sidewalk people take from the station to get into the square, so they have a lot of work to do before March.

If nothing is done before March peds are going to have a bad time on their first trip to Union Square. The Somerville Ave / Prospect St. traffic light timing needs some work as well. The wait times for a walk signal are long, so you’re going to have a train load of people waiting on the corner...

That makes Porter GLX sound relatively easy. Park St. is not grade separated though, I imagine it would need to be. Do you know why that was never grade separated when all the other crossings in the ROW are?

I’m not quite sure why this is the design for the tallest building in the area. My impression is that it looks like a 5x1 that is trying to stand out. The height alone makes it stand out in the surrounding landscape.

How do we feel about the facade design / color?
