I saw on the news that a man was hit by an Orange Line train. That he purposly jumped from the platform & onto the track as if to be comiting suiside, Did anyone else hear about this incident? :eek:

Thanks. But it's a downright shame & so stupid how the MBTA keeps dinosaur equipment around for so long, knowing that far better & up-to-date tecnology can be gained with new equipment. Sad. So sad. :(

Word is out that the MBTA has recently said that there's another 500-foot long slow zone on the Red Line just days after having previously said that the line was slow-zone free!! What gives?!! :mad: :mad:

I don't like those seats!! The backs are fine, but where you sit, it just isn't enough room there. Makes me feel like I'm gonna slide off!! Barely enough room for your butt to sit on!!!! :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

When it comes to the MBTA, it's not about looks, but rather it's about money. They are going to go with the cheapest thing that's availibe. Sorry, but that is how they roll. Like with the new Red & Orange Line railcars, they could've gone for somethging that costs a little bit more, but they...

I think that the mockup will be taken someplace & put on display. I remember the Type 6 mockup. It was given to the Seashore Trolley Museum.:(

The outside doors were changed to automatic bifolding ones, like most CVS stores havw now. It's about time!! Also, they replaced the water-damaged ceiling panels. :)

A T employee said that they may be tweaked. Even though the exterior will more than likely stay the same, some refinements will probably take place indoors, such as the seats, floor space & whatever else have you. If you just happen to be riding on a Type 9, youll see some of those refinements...

I just came back home from viewing the mockup. Yes, the seats are hard plastic, but they feel so small, like there's only enough room for your butt!!! The backs are ok, but where there is floor space with them on each side, the floor looks narrow. One of the employees working for the T, says...
