Stadium & Riverwalk | Tidewater Landing | Pawtucket

The parking is surely going to be a big issue early on. The long term plan for the stadium included parking related to other businesses next to it and across the river connected by a pedestrian bridge. The thinking was that the surface lots and possible parking garages for these would be...

Fall River/New Bedford Commuter Rail (South Coast Rail)

It is good that these cities are finally connected to Boston by rail. I however do not expect to see a large number of daily commuters from either Fall River or New Bedford. It looks to be approximately some 1:40 long ride. Not many people will want to do that regularly each day.

Food Hall | Union Station | Providence

A small section of the fencing was down on Wednesday when I was there and I was able to access Waterplace Park using the tunnel under Memorial Blvd. I am disappointed that the former tunnel under the old train station that ended at the ice rink does not look to have been incorporated into the...

Food Hall | Union Station | Providence

I checked it out today. The space is very nice. The food is pricey. I have my doubts on how it will fare with the RI public. Seems that visitors might be more of the focus

Stadium & Riverwalk | Tidewater Landing | Pawtucket

There is the possibility the URI football program, just off advancing to the 2nd round of the FCS Playoffs, may play its home games at Tidewater Landing for the 2026 season. The URI Athletic Director Thorr Bjorn recently told the PBN that work on Meade Stadium on the Kingston campus will begin...

Stadium & Riverwalk | Tidewater Landing | Pawtucket

There is supposedly a plan to have a pedestrian bridge linking both sides of the river by the stadium just south of the Division Street Bridge. It is my thinking that it will one day become part of the off road route for the Blackstone River Bikeway linking India Point/East Bay Bike Path to the...

Food Hall | Union Station | Providence

The latest open date has once again been nixed with it being pushed further out into future. Was in Waterplace Park yesterday and looked through the tunnel under Memorial Blvd and saw construction equipment out in front of the site. This is one of the slowest moving projects I have ever seen...
