I don't know the exact number but this would be part of Article 38 zoning district where a certain setback and FAR are dictated. They couldn't take the footprint and build straight up.

I believe that is the "track" that allows the form-work cocoon to rise with the building as the concrete is poured and cured.

I'm surprised the Seaport doesn't have a grocery store yet. I would assume that in one of these new buildings there will be one at some point.

That's why a dive bar will never again be in the seaport, sadly.

I believe those concrete pours are just benches, not for flood control. They don't stretch the entire length of the park.
