The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I've seen pictures of some of the interiors here and they are gorgeous, so congrats on a beautiful place, awesome location and sooo much to do once things get back to normal. They really should invest in alternate forms of advertising though...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

I was thinking the same thing and as the glass is applied, I think it will continue to appear thinner and taller. I was also thinking that once the glass "fins" reach their total height, based on the top of the core, I actually think this is going to be taller than anticipated. Maybe it will...

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

The tacky advertisement with the taxicab yellow and the "Yes, this is a pool" across the top is just so hideous, I can't believe anyone who can afford to live there would want to.

View Boston (Observatory) | Prudential Tower | Back Bay

I think there are ways to modernize the facade without totally losing the "Pru feel", like keeping the color palette the same but using a different material and more modern, streamlined glass. I've also always thought they should make an actual pointed crown incorporating the huge antenna on...

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Precisely. I lived in Shanghai for several years and traveled extensively throughout Asia and they always said something like "Oh yea Boston- great schools!" or "Oh Boston- my [bio/med/tech] company has a big office there!" and I agree that often Asians weren't familiar with most other American...

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Airport-wise, which is what this article is referring to, Logan isn't a hub and therefore secondary to even Detroit or Atlanta, but not the city (metro) overall. I've lived around the country and in other countries as well and from my vast national and international interactions, Boston is and...

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

I've been reading this site since '08 but only joined for commenting last year. Not sure why it took me so long. I know all about the different commenters on here, past and present.

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Except it is. Some people are stuck in the mindset of old Boston from 30+ years ago, which I would agree, when I was a kid, Boston was an also-ran in many ways. Since the turn of this century, Boston has changed tremendously, and that goes not just for the region's population growth but also the...

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Ok, I'm exaggerating a bit, but I also don't put Boston on the same level as Detroit or Pittsburgh- those 2 cities are in no way close to Boston in terms of growth, popularity, demand for various industries (med, tech, education, finance, etc), or just overall draw. I don't think anyone in the...

Pinnacle at Central Wharf (Harbor Garage) | 70 East India Row | Waterfront | Downtown

Well that's good news and a step in the right direction. Too bad this, like almost everything else here, will move at half the pace of every other city's construction.

Canopy by Hilton (née Haymarket Hotel) | Blackstone St | Parcel 9 | Greenway

For better or for worse, that side of the building looks like it has been there for the last hundred years, just receiving a freshening. I guess that's the point. The right side though... umm... I guess I'll withhold final judgement til it's totally done, but I'm not a fan of the...

The St Regis Residences (former Whiskey Priest site) | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

I walked by here last Wednesday and there were dozens of workers on site doing their thing. So I guess it depends when you go by, but as many of us have seen, this site is quite active and moving along, though it's difficult to see the physical evidence. It has in no ways been put on hold, as...

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I'm all for infill, but this is depressing... so many 300-400' and nothing significant to stand out and make a statement. I just so desperately want to get something larger than Hancock, approaching 1000'. This city's skyline is great- dense, quite filled-in, but nothing stands above the rest to...

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

Since it will be taller than MT, it should loom above and to the sides from this angle. Luckily it has completely different surfacing and coloring from MT so it won't look like one big mish-mashed building.

Raffles Boston (40 Trinity Place) | 426 Stuart Street | Back Bay

I wish this building was 80-100 feet taller to give it that much more presence and fill in the spine of Back Bay.

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

Or else they should've made it one big, connected building and put it up simultaneously with the Sudbury.

Oh yea, it just makes the Pru look slightly fatter on one side. I guess I thought it would be further to the right of the Pru from those angles. I would love to see this video with all of the currently under construction buildings rendered in (Alcott, Winthrop, South Station, and all the...

State Street HQ | One Congress | Bulfinch Crossing | West End

It's interesting that 1 Dalton isn't shown at all in the background of this video yet all Hub on Causeway buildings are shown completed. It had to have been finished or close to finished when this video was made.

    Grammar Polizei

I use ellipses as a pregnant pause, one that is longer than would be read with a comma. They are certainly overused nowadays, and I am just as guilty as others.
