At the last meeting Yanni Tsipis from WS definitively confirmed Parcel 8 was in the cards. Who knows how long we will have to wait, but engineering a portion of this building as a connection to Parcel 8 is a significant indicator that WS and the Fenway Group are serious.

The price per square foot for the market rate condos in this location should justify real brick… not panelling. This will be especially obvious given the proximity to the original building. One more example of a silly number of facade styles. At least it doesn’t have alternating windows.

The glass in the “cut out” now extends all the way to meet the vertical facade on the top and bottom. This change was likely made to reduce the actual structural complexity and cost, rather than for architectural design purposes.

FAR of 4.3 on 31 acres translates to roughly 5.8 million square feet. Numbers could always be higher, but I'd be hard pressed to complain about 5.8 million square feet of new development.

The developer just pulled the erection permit on Friday. Looks like this one is going to start ASAP.

I think the 9 buildings refer to the total 42 acres controlled by OxP. The parcels bounded by E Street, West First, Pappas Way, and the access road for W.B. Mason is approximately 7 acres. The 8 acre project site might also include the Verizon garage? We will know soon enough. Exciting stuff.
