I still see it as drab, gray, and industrial. The buildings have good bones but are so boring to look at, especially the ones with no window-depth or cornices (i.e. not Ell Hall). The vertical-length windows really aren't attractive IMO. I hope northeastern can liven these buildings up at some...

I kind of like it personally but IRL I have not met a single person who does. Everyone I’ve talked to thinks its jarring and/or ugly. Which is understandable because it kind if is, but for me I think it works with the eclectic skyline of Boston/Cambridge.

Have to wait to see the renders, but this is an exciting development. Every time I walked by this building when I lived on the hill I wondered why it was just left there to rot instead of becoming housing. Parking seems like a lot but the mixed use ground floor should improve the area

Maybe I’m in the minority here but I love the new cladding and don’t mind that its generic. Almost feels like an infill skyscraper in a way. There’s so many tall buildings in the area it doesn’t need to stand out. Plus I’m sure it will be much better for those working inside it.

124000 feet of academic space seems like a lot. I wonder if Northeastern will leverage the new space so they can redevelop the forsyth building or cargill hall

I feel like this argument would have made sense 5-10 years ago, but this area is already normalized to NU students and has been for awhile. Pretty much every building near the proposed site is northeastern-owned or occupied by northeastern students. Whether this building exists or not isn't...
