I think the bait and switch on the quality/color of the glass is the culprit here. Still an impressive building but I totally agree that it will not make a striking visual impact.

Re: 2 Charlesgate West When this project was announced, I recalled seeing in a PNF or other planning document that the stretch of apartments buildings on Boylston St between Charlesgate and Ipswich had received a "gateway" designation. I tried to locate the document to no avail.
