I like it, feels like London to me for some reason (in a good way) and is a significant improvement imo. That said, I agree I don't want every building to be clear/blue glass.

I would love if they copied the historic lettering and completed the gaps in "Metropolitan Storage Warehouse" and "Fire Proof" with window decals. Would be a fun installation that could be removed later.

Honestly, I thought pretty much all of these buildings were already residential. I think I, and perhaps most people?, underestimated how much small office remains downtown.

Thanks for sharing, this looks like a great project! My two cents, adaptive re-use is development and does merit its own thread, especially in the context of the glut of vacate commercial space and incentives to encourage this sort of investment. Isn't there a thread kicking around on leases...
