I read on this forum many many years ago that MIT would like to put Mass Ave in a tunnel in front of their buildings. If this were ever to happen maybe it could go past the train tracks

i think to get a truck in and out they have to go over the curb and construction will block that space

it migh be less jaring if the building nextdoor was cleaned up

I hate it when they reward slum lords. Instead of tearing it down they should restore the original front. Northeaster used the same excuse when they tore down the opera house. As far as the consulting firm they hired don't forget a consultant job is to draw rings around a bull's eye
