Looks like something that would amount to $2M worth of work and $15M of lined pockets

Thanks for taking these shots. I feel that the weak spots that you've highlighted are quite glaring and representative of the overall vibe I get from DTX, despite the pockets of "good" that you have also pointed out. I think perhaps some of us locals have rose-colored glasses on when thinking...

Seaport Neighborhood - Infill and Discussion

My own personal take is that there are already several bars in the area, including a nightclub (Grand) and a couple others that turn clubby on weekend nights (Scorpion Bar, Empire). I think it's probably just balanced enough where the area doesn't turn completely sloppy on weekends (though it...

COVID victim. The place was not very good at all and it still got decent foot traffic pre-pandemic.

Have a feeling that will be very popular despite there being so many Tatte locations already, generally speaking.

    The Mason | 85-87 & 111 Boston Street | Everett

 Nothing says "crap" quite like patchwork use of cheap-looking materials and mishmash of textures. "We built this using scrap materials leftover from 5 other projects.. think anyone would be able to tell?"

Amazing the difference that well designed lighting can make. And even the bollards are fancy.

I'm just happy to have a theater back. I was so bummed when Icon closed because it was always a great quality experience and so convenient. No younger kids was also a huge plus.

Today I learned.. how knowledgeable are you to make this statement? Genuine question, I have no idea if this is really their reputation or if this is just widely known by those who are in the know. What about Turner?

Haha, I think probably a bit too cheesy. Anything overtly too touristy or gimmicky looking would probably be too cheesy. I like the steps as well and agree with Justbuildit that the primary issue is with the restaurant downstairs failing to open.

Hmmm... will have to wait and see, but so far, this gives off impressions of when mismatched-looking additions are added on top of existing facades, creating something that looks like a tumor. Example: 100 Shawmut Ave in Boston

The St Regis Residences (former Whiskey Priest site) | 150 Seaport Blvd | Seaport

I think if any one of the buildings in this cluster had more differentiation in glass tint/color, it would've benefited the look of the area overall. I also wasn't expecting the white lines from the balconies to mimic the look of a sail (whether intentionally or not), so that's pretty cool...

    E-Scooter Rentals in MA

Dockless scooters would be terrible. I imagine too many would find their way into rivers, reservoirs, the Harbor, etc. as well as on the tracks of the Green Line. I know this isn't related to one-time use rentals, but I recently found out that Unagi offers monthly subscriptions on their...
