$1.33 billion in T improvement over the next five years

Actually all five bridges on the channel opened differently. Unfortunately the railroad bridge, which I think was only one of two in the world, has been destroyed and parts used as sculpture. I wish they had preserved that bridge as a bike and pedestrian bridge and had displays along the harbor walk about all the bridges.

I thought the Old Northern Ave bridge still opened on occasion?

I can't think of the last time I heard it had opened, and I know I would've been down there with a camera if I had. It does have clearance with the Moakley bridge so close, right?

I have a clear memory of having to walk across the Moakley Bridge because the Old Northern had been opened. But I'm not sure exactly when this last happened to me -- maybe three or four years ago?

The Old Northern Ave bridge is opened several days a week to allow sailboats to enter/leave the docks under the Moakley bridge.
